Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) Candidate, Yorkville University
I believe every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change. As a practicum
counsellor at Purpose Psychology, I am honoured to walk alongside clients as they
rediscover their strengths and create meaningful change in their lives.
With many years of experience in social services, I have supported individuals and
families navigating challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance
use, and developmental disabilities. These experiences have shaped my belief that
even small steps forward are worth celebrating, and that genuine connection can help
people move towards hope and balance.
My counselling approach is warm and collaborative. I use a biopsychosocial and
culturally responsive and socially just lens to understand each client as a whole
person—mind, body, and spirit—within their social and cultural contexts. My counselling
approach draws from several therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Brief
Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I integrate these models to meet each client’s
unique needs.
I offer support in areas such as:
I work with youth, adolescents, adults, and families from all walks of life. I offer
counselling services on a sliding scale to my clients.
Originally from Jamaica, I bring a rich cultural perspective and a deep respect for
diversity to my practice.
If you are ready to take the next step in your journey, I would be honoured to support
you in moving toward greater well-being and purpose.
