Randell is a Provisional Psychologist, with a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree and a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She has a gentle presence which creates a safe place to share and feel understood. She draws from multiple therapies including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioural therapy, and Gottman Couple’s therapy, to ensure that each unique client receives therapy that fits them. She completed eight months of intensive training at the Calgary Counselling Centre, and has experience working with diverse populations and issues. Outside of a counselling setting, she worked as a tutor with young adults and adolescents some of whom are neurodivergent.
My desire to become a therapist comes from my observation that people feel comfortable sharing tough things with me. I feel privileged that someone trusts me in that way. Coming to therapy can be daunting sometimes, and I try to make the experience as comfortable as possible by focusing on collaboration. I see therapy as building you a new home. We will build it by exploring options from both of our toolboxes. We will build a house which can weather future storms. Outside of the counselling setting, you can usually find me crafting, doing something outside and spending time with my pets.
